That's a silly attitude, seeing that these are two entirely different sweets, and since I needed a white canvas which to demonstration the fruity, 4th of July flag style seen herein, I decided to go for this.

Ingredients for 12 portions:
6 tbsp melted butter
1/4 cup white sugar
For the filling:
2 cups (1 pound) cream mozzarella cheese (I actually used fifty percent regular and half mascarpone)
2 tsp grated lemon zest
2 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp vanilla extract

Not long ago I tried making the no-bake cheesecake filling up with simply cream parmesan cheese and lemon juice, and the end result came out a bit too dense and gummy for my flavor. Now I understand the secret to the mousse-like quality may be the whipped cream!
I will definitely provide this a try soon.

This recipe is just the type of thing I am searching for lately. High in excess fat and low in glucose. I'll probably also replace area of the sugar with stevia. I'm thinking about using some homemade creme fraiche within the cream cheese layer. I love the taste of fermented dairy.
And I'll bet I can discover an almond Flour bundt cake/coconut flour crust and then add cocoa to it. Yup, that one will get a go. Thanks!

I have work to accomplish, but now I'd really rather be building cheesecake for Canada time! I wouldn't even have to get multiple types of fruit!
That said, I'm along with you - We definitely choose the baked cheesecake. Why place it in the refrigerator when you can put it in the oven?

I actually made an approximation of the recipe and am very pleased with how it proved.
I followed your ingredient amounts on almost anything. I deviated through the recipe by using 2 cups of heavy cream so I could add in a ample (1/2-3/4 C) of homemade Crème Fraiche, also from your own blog.
My crust was made using finely ground almonds, cinnamon, dark brown sugar, salt and butter...my sister doesn't eat wheat gluten, which means this was designed to accommodate her diet plan. I must state, it turned very close in texture and taste to a graham cracker crust.

After being in the fridge for 24+ hours, I had been amazed at how close the taste was to a traditional cheesecake. And with some cherry pie filling on top...fuhgettaboutit.

if we followed this formula and wished to bake it afterwards, just how long and at what temperature to bake it at? do we still need to let it rest within the fridge for 3 hrs first?
